Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert at Malmesbury Abbey on the first Tuesday afternoon of each month at 2pm: informal feel-good music events with refreshments available in the abbey café before and after the concert, where you can meet friends and make new ones, and enjoy live music, often with the addition of a poem or two…
Our March concert consists of music by women composers, featuring Alice Verne-Bredt: Phantasie Trio, the sublime slow movement of Cécile Chaminade’s Trio no2, and Rosalind Ellicott’s Trio in D minor, alongside music by two ‘locals’: a scherzo by Bath composer Kate Loder and a concerto movement by Dora Bright who for many years lived at Babington House.
