Hospice is a word that fills people with fear – but Julia’s House isn’t just there for children at the end of their lives. Children may need our help for many years, others may only need us for a short while until their condition improves. They are referred for many different reasons but all benefit from the same outstanding, award-winning care, care that transforms lives.
We never want a family to feel too frightened to seek the support they may be entitled to - and so desperately need. We will be by your side and on your side – you don’t have to go through this alone.
Anyone can make a referral to Julia’s House: mums, dads, friends, and health professionals – even the child themselves. If your child has been diagnosed with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition they may be eligible for our care.
Who can be referred?
The child being referred needs to:
- Live in Dorset or Wiltshire
- Be under 18
- Have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and a clinician’s signature to confirm this
- Have the consent of a parent or guardian via a signed referral form
Not sure if your child fits the criteria? Talk to your GP or consultant or give us a call – we are happy to guide and advise parents about eligibility and a quick chat could save time.
How to make a referral
Please print and fill out the referral form here and return it via email to [email protected].
Alternatively you can return the completed form by post:
