Volunteer Stockroom Assistant
Join us at Shaw Trust Salisbury Warehouse as a Volunteer Warehouse Assistant and help us raise vital funds to support communities across the UK.
A lot gets done behind the scenes, making the warehouse assistant role a great way to contribute to our charity at your own pace.
You’ll be sorting donations, researching and pricing items, and ensuring that stock is prepared before being sent to our shops to raise vital funds.
There is even the option to combine the role with a shop based role in the adjoining furniture shop or as a van assistant working with the logistics team.
Our friendly warehouse team will give you all the training and support you need to make you feel comfortable and confident here. We believe that everyone has something to offer, even if you have no experience in retail or a warehouse environment.
What’s in it for you
Volunteering is a great way to make a real difference and build your skills. As well supporting Shaw Trust, you’ll be staying active and social, will grow your confidence and meet new people.
Most of the time, we cover some lunch and travel expenses. We’ll always be as flexible as possible around your education, family, work, and health commitments.
What we’re asking for
The main thing we are looking for is that you are happy to work with a team and have a helpful attitude. The ability to offer around 4 hours of help a week would be preferable, though we can be flexible. Volunteers in our shop must be aged 14 and over.
