The Friends of Erlestoke Prison is a small registered charity which supports HMP Erlestoke offenders with the challenges of rehabilitation and staying in touch with their families whilst in custody. HMP Erlestoke is the only prison in Wiltshire and houses Cat C adult male prisoners. We have been operational since 2012 and initiate and manage activities which are proven to positively impact offender rehabilitation, but which are beyond the scope of prison budgets.

We have previously provided 'access to art' sessions, yoga classes and drama workshops. We currently provide origami card making sessions (which is self-funding through the sale of the cards) and a transport scheme for prisoners' families on visit days (which is also part-funded by visitor donations). We are also running a capital appeal to build an all-weather sports pitch in the prison.
