If you and your family care about nature and want to experience local wildlife, or are looking for some nature-inspired activities, then you’ve come to the right place.
There are hundreds of events and local Watch groups that you and your kids can get involved in.
Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of The Wildlife Trusts and the UK’s leading environmental action club for kids.
Our aim is to encourage children to engage with the environment and the issues affecting it.
As well as protecting local wildlife and natural habitats in Wiltshire we provide:
- Forest schools and practical workshops for students
- Youth provision and work experience
- Care farms for students with SEND or needing alternative provision.
Wildlife Watch Groups
Wildlife Watch Groups are wildlife clubs for primary school aged children and their families to join in with wildlife activities and have fun outdoors.
Wildlife Watch is the junior wing of the Wildlife Trusts and we currently have five Wildlife Watch groups in the county: Calne, Lower Moor Farm near Malmesbury, Pewsey, Green Lane Woods and Salisbury. See below for the contact details of each group.
Places are bookable and there is a small fee (reduced for Wildlife Watch Members).
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during the sessions.
We are always looking to set up more Watch Groups and recruit more volunteers. If you enjoy working with children, have a passion for wildlife and can spare a few hours a month please get in touch by emailing Ali Nott [email protected]
