Integrative Creative Counselling
Hello! I’m Cesca Myles (she/her), and I’m passionate about helping you navigate your mental health and wellbeing through creativity.
As an Integrative Creative Counsellor, I believe that art and self-expression can be powerful tools for healing and growth.
You may have anxiety, low moods, difficult relationships, stress and burn out, or a general sense your mental health isn't where you want it to be. I can support you by providing a safe space for our session, and time where you can explore your thoughts and feelings using various art forms. This could include visual arts like drawing, painting, clay, or explore writing, movement or drama.
You don’t need to think of yourself as creative or an amazing artist; just bring your openness and curiosity.
You may be new to counselling and therapy or have used it many times before; I respect you’re on a unique path towards making positive changes in your life. My approach honours your individuality and I use my knowledge of different forms of counselling to be person-centred to your needs. Together, we’ll uncover what works for you and tailor our approach accordingly.
Whether you’re facing depression, anxiety, grief, or life transitions, we’ll find a way forward. Beyond talk therapy, I offer practical tools where you’ll learn how to express yourself creatively, which can enhance your self-awareness, to identify areas in your life that are troubling you and help you better cope with change.
Using the arts helps you gain insights, emotional or stress relief, and a deeper connection with yourself and can be a safe way of working through trauma, depression and anxiety.
It's also great for people who want alternative ways to talking therapy, experiance disability or neurodiversity and I work a lot with those communities in other roles. I have a strongly compassionate approach and our work together will aim to empower you to face challenges with newfound strength.
I aim to help you embrace the opportunity to express yourself authentically. Art is a language individual to each of us, but also helps us connect to others, and I’ll guide you in using it effectively.
By engaging in creative processes, you’ll build coping skills, boost self-esteem, and find joy in self-discovery, giving you choice and opportunity in a safe space to talk.
I offer online sessions via zoom and face to face at the Salisbury Practise Rooms.
