A Well-City Salisbury creative course for well-being from W-CS Art Club and artists Emma Kerr and Tamsin Loveday.
Unleash your creativity and see your world in new ways through art, as we bring you Well-City Salisbury Art Club from the comfort of your home.
Especially for those who find it challenging to incorporate creativity into their busy lives, access city-based arts activities due to location, disability or mental health, this online course is to support wellbeing and bring people together.
Each week, we connect with experienced Well City artists, and your facilitators Zoe and Cesca. You’ll have the chance to be immersed in new ideas, create unique artworks using a variety of methods and techniques, and learn creative skills that you can continue to use to make your own art, as well as support your mental health and well-being at home, even after the course ends.
Don’t worry if you’re new to art or don’t see yourself as a creative person. Our course is designed for everyone and is delivered online. We’ll provide all the materials you need in personal post packs.
Join us online as we engage in relaxing and easy-to-access art activities from the comfort of your own home. You’ll find inspiration in the view from your window and the materials you can find under the kitchen sink. Let’s create together!
Sessions will be delivered online via Zoom every Wednesday morning from 29 May - 10 July (no session 19 June) 10 - 1pm.
A optional (but encouraged!) welcome session and tech session will take place on Wednesday 8 May, 10 -11:30am and is a opportunity to meet your facilitator, other participants, and visit the space prior to the course starting.
At the end of the 8-week course there will also be the opportunity to attend a optional (but encouraged!) celebration session on Wednesday 31 July, 10 – 11:30am. A chance to come together and celebrate everyone’s creativity and time spent together.
This course is available for adults 20+. All materials provided.
Well-City is a Salisbury based partnership project providing creative opportunities to support mental health and well-being through arts and heritage. The project primarily uses a model where participants are referred onto a course by their GP practice, support organisation, community group or school wellbeing team. However, we also welcome self-referrals.
If you are interested in this course, or would like to find out further information, please get in touch with our project coordinator, Zoe, on wellcity.salisbury@wessexarch.co.uk or get in touch on 07707 296883 (Monday-Thursday) for a chat.
