Get Out Get active (GOGA) programme brings disabled and non-disabled people together to be active, especially vital in these times. This course is a starting point for anybody interested in engaging the least active members of society in fun, inclusive ways with the aim of creating or supporting exciting projects in your community.

You will be introduced to the foundations of community organising: listening to build relationships, power and action.

GOGA is about much more than being active. It’s about community spirit, increasing confidence and improving mental health.

During this course you will explore

• what community organising is

• the importance of listening to build relationships and uncover barriers

• power in communities and why it matters

• how to motivate people to take action

• how to take your next steps helping your community to create projects to bring people together to Get Out and Get Active

“I really liked the framework, it made me think about ways to develop change. I enjoyed the discussions about power, they gave me a better understanding about society and empowering people.”
