Empowering Young People. Enriching Communities.

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people?

Do you have skills, experience or lived experience that could help shape a forward-thinking youth charity?

4Youth (South West) is seeking new trustees to join our committed Board.

About Us

4Youth is a dynamic charity dedicated to supporting young people aged 8–25. We provide inclusive youth work, mentoring, and opportunities that help young people thrive—especially those facing challenges. We work in partnership with local communities and partners to deliver real impact where it’s needed most.

Who We're Looking For

We believe the time commitment is around 3 hours a month to cover the core responsibilities of a trustee. You may wish to get involved with additional projects and events that could add to your time commitment, but that would entirely up to you.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals from all backgrounds who share our commitment to youth development. You don’t need previous board experience—we welcome new voices and will support you in your role. We are particularly keen to hear from people with experience in:

  • Finance or charity accounting
  • Fundraising and income generation
  • Youth work or safeguarding
  • HR, governance or legal
  • Digital communications and social media
  • Lived experience as a young person or youth worker

What’s Involved

  • Attending around 4–6 trustee meetings per year (in person or online
  • Contributing to the strategic direction and good governance of the charity
  • Acting as an ambassador for 4Youth (South West)
  • Supporting the CEO and team with your expertise and insight

Why Join Us?

Being a trustee is a rewarding way to give back, build new skills, and be part of something meaningful. You'll help shape the future of 4Youth and ensure young people have the support they need to succeed.
