South Wilts Mencap is an independent Salisbury charity started by local parents in 1959 and is affiliated to the Royal Mencap Society. South Wilts Mencap is now a team of over 60 individuals who deliver clubs, events and information to those as young as five right through the senior years. With our incredible team, which includes many volunteers, we strive to provide these social based activities to enhance the lives of people with learning disabilities.
The Charity Service Coordinator will support Club Leaders to ensure that the clubs, activities and events are delivered to a consistently high standard and that they conform to SWM policies and procedures. The role will report direct to the Operations Trustees.
The role is 18 hours per week, working principally from home. Evening attendance to clubs will be routinely necessary to meet service needs, as will occasional weekend hours.
