Do you have a few hours to spare? Julia's House, The Wiltshire Children's Hospice, are seeking volunteers to help manage our charity collection cans in your local area. We rely on funds from the community so our collection cans are vital to help raise awareness and funds to support our needed care service.
Duties include placing collection cans in your local area in shops, pubs and restaurants. Our fundraising team will help with locations or advise sites where we already have a can. Once the collection can is full you will need to replace it with an empty can and return the full can to us. This is a flexible role, as you can fit it around your commitments and should only take a few hours of your time each month to manage.
You don’t have to have experience to be a volunteer at Julia’s House as we provide all the training you will require. You just need to be friendly, polite, welcoming, and happy to work in a team.
You must be 18+ for this role.
Please note this is an unpaid voluntary role
Julia’s House is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and our aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society and our families and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. Based on our current staffing profile, we have identified that there is an under-representation of: (a) individuals of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, so would especially welcome BAME applicants for any of our vacant positions; and (b) males, so we would welcome male applicants for any of our vacant positions.
