We Hear You provides counselling to children, families and individuals in Bath and North East Somerset, Somerset, and Wiltshire impacted and bereaved by cancer and life-threatening conditions.
We Hear You’s vision is a world where free access to high quality therapeutic support is available when and where it is needed for everyone affected by cancer and any other life-threatening conditions.
Many of us will face a diagnosis of cancer or another life-threatening condition at some time in our lives, or will lose someone close to us as a result. Whether it’s you, your partner, a family member or a friend who is affected, it can trigger painful and distressing feelings.
Counselling provides a safe, supportive environment to talk things through. It can be helpful to be able to talk openly, without worrying that you might be judged, or feeling concerned that you might upset your friends and family. Research shows that counselling can help people affected by cancer and other life threatening conditions to cope with some of the challenges that it brings.
