About People in the Park
People in the Park is a free, family-friendly festival celebrating sustainability, community action, and positive solutions to climate and environmental challenges. Organised by Salisbury Transition City, the event brings together local charities, community groups, artists, and activists for a day of talks, music, activities, and stalls in Queen Elizabeth Gardens.
About the role
We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to act as stewards during People in the Park 2026. Stewards play a vital role in helping the event run safely and smoothly, while providing a welcoming presence for visitors.

Location: Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury

Time commitment: 1–3 hour shifts during the event
What you will be doing

Helping visitors with general queries and directions

Acting as a welcoming point of contact for the public

Being stationed at fixed points or patrolling the site

Keeping an eye out for any potential issues and reporting them to the management team
