On Friday 21st June we will be continuing our work to make the entrance to Bemerton Folly at Pinewoods Way a little more inviting by clearing away nettles and brambles and planting woodland wildflower seeds. We'll also be able to see how the seeds sown last month are doing.
We'll be there from 11am - 4pm so come along at any time and stay as long as you like.
We realise that nettles and brambles are great for nature so we don't need to get rid of them all. We'll also have a chance to discuss ideas and shape the future of the Folly.
Rome wasn't built in a day, but many hands make light work, so if you are willing and able to help out, please get in touch. We have submitted a grant for tools but they won't be available yet. Hopefully we'll have enough tools to do round, but if you have some, please bring them along, and bring gardening gloves too. Label them well in case there is a mix-up, and wear suitable outdoor clothing.
Our plans and work will have the support, guidance and advice from Salisbury City Council, Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. All volunteers will need to fill in and sign our volunteers sheet in order to be insured by Salisbury City Council. Over 18s only.
