Health screening for people with learning disabilities and / or autistic people

Voice It, Hear It has been working with public health on a pilot project about health screening for people with a learning disability and / or autistic people.  Part of the project involves a programme to support people in day centres to raise awareness of what can make people unwell and what screening is available for people.

We are also looking to understand what can make different screenings more comfortable for people and any challenges that people may experience with health screening.  

Please note, some screening offered is age dependent, so some questions may not apply to you.

We will use what people tell us to identify key areas or issues that impact on people taking up health screening, areas where it works well for people or where things could be improved to make their experience could be better.
