This training is for people working or volunteering with children and young people. It is an excellent introduction to safeguarding which will include:
1. Understanding different types of abuse and recognising the signs of abuse.
2. What to do if you have concerns about a child or young person.
3. How to escalate concerns and what happens once concerns have been raised.
4. Good practice in the use of DBS checks (Disclosure and Baring Service Checks)
The training will also offer examples of policies and templates you can then take away and adapt to use in your organisation. There will be time for questions during and after the training and all the information and guidance is specific to Wiltshire and the South West.
