Have you pledged to volunteer on Wiltshire Together? Or have you found volunteers by promoting your opportunity here?
If so, you're probably ready to start logging volunteer hours.
Having a log of the hours volunteered is useful for both the volunteer and the organisation offering the volunteering role.
As a volunteer, you can print or export 'Your Impact' on Wiltshire Together (a bit like a social CV) to show how much you've helped your community. This can be used for job applications, D of E awards or other such scenarios where providing evidence that you've helped others is beneficial to you.
As a volunteering organisation, logging hours completed by your volunteers is vital to understand the impact that you've achieved (and how useful Wiltshire Together was in helping you to find volunteers).
In this session, we will:
- Review how to accept and talk to new volunteers.
- See how a volunteer can log their own hours.
- See how a volunteering organisation can log hours for their volunteers, or accept the volunteering record made by an individual volunteer.
- Look at the impact and statistics page.
If you'd like to join, please email [email protected] and I will send you a calendar invite with the link to the meeting.
