Area Board meetings are back on the agenda following the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Meetings now take place virtually, via Teams. The next meeting for Marlborough takes place on Tuesday 29 September, starting at 6.30pm. You do not need to have Teams installed on you device to take part.
On its return, Marlborough Area Board will be looking at the issue of air quality for the town and wider area. The junction of the A4 and A346 is designated as one of 8 Air Quality Management Areas in Wiltshire. The meeting will be hearing from air quality and public protection experts from Wiltshire Council and will look at what might be done to improve air quality.
The meeting will also hear from the Community Area Transport Group on developing local traffic schemes and from the Health & Wellbeing Group on the work member organisations have been doing during lockdown to support vulnerable residents. Both these groups have only just got together again, having been suspended in March, so there will be lots to catch up on.
