This 1 day 'helping hand' course is for anyone who needs to manipulate numbers, keep lists, or create graphs.
Excel’s a truly amazing package and this course starts you on the journey to learning its main features. If you find yourself forever reaching for a calculator when updating documents or records, need to juggle with numbers, keep lists or produce graphs, then Excel is for you.
This 1 day 'helping hand' course aims to assist you in getting to grips with the essential features such as creating and developing spreadsheets and using formulas.
You do not need to have used Excel before as this course will show you what you can use Excel for and help you get to grips with the basic features. If you have some Excel experience, this course aims to improve your skills and learn shortcuts that will save you time.
You can either bring in your own laptop or borrow one of Wessex Community Actions' training laptops. If you are bringing in your own laptop, please make sure it is running Windows 10 as a minimum. If you would like to borrow one please let us know when you complete the booking information.
What The Course Will Cover:
Starting from the basics of understanding spreadsheet jargon and the worksheet, you’ll learn proper data entry techniques, constructing formulae the correct way, smartening up a spreadsheet, and creating a series of graphs (charts in Excel).
Outcomes:
By the end of the day you will be able to:
• Create a spreadsheet in Excel and enter data accurately
• Ability to create simple calculations and check the results
• Present the spreadsheet in a professional manner
• Create a variety of graphs
• Sort and search lists of data
This training is being delivered by White Horse Computer Training on behalf of Wessex Community Action for volunteers and staff from Voluntary and Community Sector organisations based in Wiltshire.
