Oxfam Charity Retail - Volunteer - Shop Floor Merchandiser (Over 18 Only)

In Oxfam Salisbury we’re dedicated to fighting poverty and inequality. Boost your CV, confidence, and skills by getting customer service & sales experience here.

We'll give you training and support so you can help us sell lots of goodies each week by providing customers and donors with amazing service.

We ask for 4 - 8 hours per week. We can be very flexible around parenting / caring / health / employment / education and any other commitments you have. Some travel and lunch expenses can be covered too. (Please Note we are unable to take under 18 volunteers at present due to our shops being at capacity with a waiting list.)

Do you enjoy… making displays look tempting – have you a flair for design. Can you give a great shopping experience to our customers… then we would love to hear from you?

If you have a couple of hours to give to Oxfam, then we'd like to hear from you.

We want to hear from you if you are:

  • reliable and honest
  • willing to learn new skills
  • interested in working with a team
  • Have a flair for design

The Role:

  • You’ll be responsible for producing visually appealing shop floor displays, aimed at promoting our products & increasing our sales, and Oxfam's charity work.
  • You will be responsible for planning, organising and implementation of shop floor schemes, following seasonal and promotional guidelines.
  • You will also be responsible for dressing mannequins on a regular basis, helping with any other creative displays where necessary.
  • A proactive, action and results-driven individual, capable of using their initiative.
  • Be creative with shop floor stock to make it appealing to customers.
  • Creative, happy to try new ideas and able to research ideas for eye catching displays.
  • Replenishment of stock on the shop floor.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet challenges head-on.

Are you getting back to work? Then volunteering is a great opportunity to gain that valuable experience while having a great time!

Boost your confidence, skills, and CV by volunteering.
