Wessex Community Action, working with the Cranfield Trust, is delighted to offer Chief Executives and senior managers, the exclusive opportunity to participate in a fully funded programme to explore and address their leadership challenges.

Peer to Peer Exchange, Cranfield Trust’s adaptation of action learning, provides a confidential, neutral thinking space for sector leaders to explore some of their leadership challenges.  Recognising the pressure and isolating nature of CEO and Directors / Trustees roles, P2P exchanges focus on resourcing and restoring a sense of resilience within individual leaders and the group.

Objectives of the Sessions - To resource sector leaders to:

  • Develop their leadership capacity
  • Regain their sense of agency
  • Strengthen their professional resilience
  • Respond from a fresh perspective
  • Increase their access to new solutions
  • Acknowledge a sense of success
  • Enhance personal effectiveness and productivity

What is involved – commitment

The P2P approach begins with a structure orientation session intended to acclimatise participants to the workings of action learning and to align their motivation for attending, to engage with the potential outcomes on offer.  Participants will then experience four, 90 minutes Exchanges which involves working on real challenges, using the knowledge and skills of a small group of people, combined with skilled questioning, to produce fresh ideas and reinterpret familiar concepts.

Anticipated Outcomes: Participant feedback describes:

  • A sense of solidarity
  • Greater awareness of different ways to approach a challenge
  • A sense of freedom in discussing issues with professionals I don't work with
  • The opportunity to challenge my own thinking, whilst also supporting others
  • To learn from other people in the sector
