Join us for a landscape-inspired Poetry Workshop with our resident poet Akulah Agbami in the stunning setting of Martin Down National Nature Reserve on Saturday 13th August. The Cranborne Chase & Chalke Valley Landscape Partnership Scheme’s ‘Words in the Landscape’ project is working with renowned poet Akulah Agbami to create 'Cherish', a series of workshops creating opportunities for more people to connect with this amazing landscape through poetry and creative writing.

Together we will take a walk to explore this amazing habitat and be inspired by our surroundings. On our walk Akulah will work with small groups to discuss the landscape and explore how being better connected to the countryside delivers a wide range of benefits.

“Poetry, it is a thing of power and beauty that flows, often unacknowledged, through all of our lives. It has the capacity to heal, to inspire, to console, amuse and generally heightens and intensifies our experience of the present moment, and of the past. I believe in the magic and mystery of landscape; Cranborne Chase, a place to be discovered, savoured and captured in poetry...” Akulah Agbami
