Thinking of volunteering?
Whether you have a specific skill or want to learn something new; however much or little time you give, there is a role for you in your local DEBRA shop in Trowbridge.
How you can help
The role will involve serving customers and using the computerised till to take payments for purchases, sorting donated stock, using a steaming appliance on donated clothes, and assisting the shop manager with any other task to keep the shop running efficiently.
Who are DEBRA?
DEBRA is the national charity that supports people living with the painful genetic skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). We fund vital community support, specialist healthcare and pioneering research into treatments and a cure/s.
People with EB have a faulty gene, meaning the skin cannot bind together. This causes the skin to tear and blister at the slightest touch and for this reason it is sometimes called ‘butterfly skin’. EB can also affect internal linings and organs, and in the worst cases, can be fatal.
