Morning Star Salisbury is a small, faith-based charity supporting people in the city who are rough sleeping, struggling with addiction, or facing social isolation. While our work is rooted in Christian values, we welcome and support people of all beliefs.
We run The Hope Project, offering practical, emotional, and social support for those leaving rehab, those at risk in the community, and those we meet through our Banquet Run street outreach. The Banquet Run continues to provide free, fresh food on the streets of Salisbury, along with friendship and hope for people who often feel forgotten.
In partnership with St Paul’s Church, we also deliver the Life Recovery Course and Community, which provides a safe space for people to explore recovery, connect with others, and rebuild their lives. Alongside this, we collaborate with Wiltshire Council to help newly housed rough sleepers with essential items like clothing, furnishings, and kitchenware — a vital first step in creating a real home.
Morning Star is led by Mike and Kerry Badger, supported by a small team of staff, trustees, and volunteers. We are proud to work alongside churches, local agencies, and community groups to reach some of Salisbury’s most vulnerable people with compassion, dignity, and hope.
