The UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme tracks how populations of pollinating insects are changing.
The Flower-Insect Timed Count (FIT Count) is a simple method of measuring pollinator activity. Anyone can take part in as long as you can find flowers and are happy to spend ten minutes watching them in warm weather! This online event will show how you can take part in the FIT Counts and provide some practice in recognising the different groups of pollinators.
This event is part of the Citizen Science Showcase – organised by the Natural History Consortium, in partnership with Natural England, funded by Defra’s Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) Programme.
The UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme is a partnership led by the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology.
