More About The Event
As part of the Kings Coronation weekend, on the 8th May, from 12 – 4pm, Salisbury City Council is aiming to coordinate an event for the whole city, a festival of giving and volunteering. (see our event on the campaignpage)
At the centre of the event will be a food drive for the network of food organisations that form the ‘Salisbury Foodie Network’. This network includes Bemerton Community Fridge, Your Salisbury Pantry and Salisbury Foodbank, with support from other partners from Wiltshire Council, the Pantry Partnership and others. On this day the network will be out in force to collect as many items of food for these projects as they can.
Our dream is to collect one item of food for every resident and help our local food projects meet the needs of local people for month following this drive!
