We are currently in a temporary building located in Bulford Barracks. The Haig Day Nursery was judged Good in all areas by Ofsted in February 2022. Currently we are registered for 48 children per day. The temporary nursery consists of seperate baby room 6 - 16 months. Large sectioned space spilt into 3 large areas for 1 - 2 year olds, 2 - 3 year olds and 3 - 5 years old.
There is a seperated sleep room for 0 - 2 year olds and a secure outside area.
The Haig Curricumlum Intent
At the nursery we offer a curriculum that is motivating and offers exciting experiences. The curriculum is a fine balance between adult-led and child-led activities to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children. We recognise that play is intergral to our children's learning, and this can be seen at the heart of our practice.
We provide an environment that is safe, happy and nurturing to enable children to develop their independance as learners, both the indoors and outdoors promote challenge, exploration and problem solving.
Our children develop resilience, self-confidence and build positive relationships and friendships. Staff provide consistant routines, building strong relationships with parents.
We believe that all children should be treated and valued as an individual and that learning should be accessible to all.
We aim to give our children the best start in life so that they can achieve future successess, effectively preparing them for the stage of their lives.
We recognise that Early Years Education provides a firm foundation for successful learning in the future.
Safeguarding
We take safeguarding the children extremely seriously and have Designated Safeguarding Leads and Deputies in place to support this role.
We will be moving back to our newly refurbished nursery in Summer 2024. Further updates will be added then.
