Creative Minds Arts & Crafts is very pleased to announce its arrival in the heart of Trowbridge, Wiltshire. This vibrant new art studio is purposely deigned to accommodate a wide range of art and crafts activities, regardless of age or ability.
Free-play art sessions are available for younger children during the school holidays; therapeutic art sessions for children and adults that require additional support, and bespoke art classes demonstrating watercolour, acrylic and oil painting alongside a wide selection of crafts such as ceramics, glass and jewellery-making, body painting and textiles.
We are also excited to be able to offer Paint & Prosecco and Beer & Brushes nights, where those wanting to learn or develop new art skills can do so with a group of friends and a glass of bubbly in their hand.
In addition to all of this, local artists from the Trowbridge area can use the art studio to run their own art classes for their existing client base.
Therapeutic Art
It is now widely recognised that therapeutic art practices may enhance emotional, physical, and cognitive development of those involved. The founders of Creative Minds Arts & Crafts are experienced practitioners within the care sector, having previously worked with young children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of adverse experiences, traumas and challenging behaviours, as well as additional physical and emotional requirements, such as Cerebral Palsy, Tourette’s, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, ADHD, Asperger's and Autism.
Each member of the Creative Minds Arts & Crafts team recognises the therapeutic benefits that art - in a safe and fun environment - can offer its participants and will ensure that everyone is fully supported to relax, learn, or improve new art skills, and have fun during these 90-minutes sessions.
These therapeutic art sessions are targeted to particular cohorts of child or adult, to ensure stability and a like-minded social bonding experience.
Not only can these art sessions be booked simply for the enjoyment of the participants, but they could also be part of an additional educational provision or enhancing an otherwise existent curriculum.
Creative Minds Arts & Crafts is passionate about enriching lives, particularly those that are vulnerable and under privileged. We look forward to developing relationships within the community, and we welcome children and adults from the social care system or those with additional needs.
All enquires can be made through our contact page.
Our studio is on the first floor and has no wheelchair access but please contact us if you would like a session as we have other places we can use and set up and are happy to do our best to accommodate.
