What do Wellbeing Support Volunteers do?

The Wellbeing Support Volunteer's role involves visiting clients in their homes, in the community or speaking to them on the telephone.

The Wellbeing Service support will be time limited with the aim of supporting a client to find and ultimately attend social activities in their area. The volunteer will support the client to find suitable transport to their chosen activity and support them to access and use this transport.

About the Wellbeing Service

The Wellbeing Service aims to improve clients' quality of life and wellbeing and help them to maintain their independence. With the support of a volunteer we aim to enable someone to reconnect with community-based opportunities for social engagement. The volunteer will help the client work towards specific goals and outcomes identified by the older person.
