“Wiltshire Community Networking”
If you ran community support during the pandemic you are invited to the 2nd on-line event for Covid-19 community support groups in Wiltshire
21st October 2020 9.30 -12pm on Zoom
After the last session many groups indicated that they would value an opportunity to come together again and to share and learn from one another as well as access support as they grow.
At the last session together, some key themes emerged:
- Working together: Working as a team rather than an individual 'lone ranger’ & embracing and enhancing mutual cooperation.
- Learning, Knowledge & Creativity: Capturing what we’ve learnt & using new knowledge and sharing that with each other.
- Networking: Finding a flexible structure to respond to changing circumstances together & to continue online gatherings so that groups can talk and see what each other are doing and explore together more flexible ways for ad hoc, informal communications between groups.
WCA in partnership with Wiltshire Council are hosting another event to bring groups together again to explore how to build and strengthen on our first gathering; to explore further the opportunities and mechanisms for on-going connection, and for sharing of knowledge, skills and resources that support each other.
Focusing on:
- Helping groups articulate their ambitions, needs and support for continuing and preparing potentially for any further restrictions with regards to lockdowns or requirements for further shielding
- Beginning the process of developing a network between groups
- Looking at ways together to strength connection, sharing resources and collaboration
