Voice It Hear It (VIHI) are carrying out a range of consultation and engagement exercises to gather information about potential accomodation needs of those aged 50+ in Wiltshire. Below is some information about the survey we are sharing as part of this process. We are hoping to reach as many organisations and indivduals as possible.
About this Survey.
Wiltshire Council is developing its 2024-2029 Accommodation Strategy and seeks input from older residents on maintaining independence in their homes. If staying at home is impractical, the Council aims to understand how local services can be improved to feel like home for residents.
Key Objectives of the Strategy:
1. Access to Information and Services: Ensuring easy access to information and services regarding housing choices and options.
2. Involvement in Planning: Increasing the involvement of older people in planning for their accommodation needs in a timely manner.
3. Sustainable Housing: Strategically planning for sustainable housing that meets the current and future needs and aspirations of older people.
4. Independent Living Support: Supporting older people to live independently in all housing types and increasing the availability of preventative services.
Your feedback in this survey will help shape the strategy and inform future housing needs for older people in Wiltshire.
