Experience the harmony of Zimbabwe through singing in this workshop with Bruce Ncube!
Enjoy Zimbabwean sadza for lunch - available to buy on the day.
Bruce specialises in teaching traditional Zimbabwean/Southern African songs in 3 to 6 part harmonies. The songs and harmonies are emotionally charged and uplifting, designed to build participant’s confidence with singing. His method of teaching and singing is in the traditional oral/ aural way; reminiscent of when people in Africa would gather around a fire in the evenings, or whilst working in the fields and start weaving harmonies.
This workshop at The Hub will be inclusive and highly participatory, one does not need to be experienced in singing to take part. Bruce is also a drummer/percussionist & Gumboot dance teacher. Join us for this amazing workshop. Food from Zimbabwe ‘sadza’ which can be vegan or come with a meat option will be for sale for lunch. Don’t miss it!
