Volunteer Angie gets great reviews

Goldies, a charity that hosts social groups where people come together to sing-a-long to the popular hits of the 50s onwards, posted a volunteering opportunity asking for support with their Sing & Smile sessions at Salisbury Methodist Church.

Angie Street saw the opportunity and pledged to volunteer. Goldies accepted Angie as a volunteer and she went along to the sessions on several dates to help out.

Goldies recorded each hour that Angie volunteered, marking her help in March and in May 2023.

It was fantastic to have Angie supporting the Salisbury Goldies sing-along. She helped to settle new attendees in and provided tea and coffee so that our Leader Katy could focus on providing a full hour of sing-along fun.

We would welcome Angie back any time, and any other volunteers able to support our Goldies session on the SECOND MONDAY of each month at Salisbury Methodist Church, St Edmunds Church Street, Salisbury SP1 1EF from 1.30pm-3.00pm.

Many thanks Wiltshire Together for matching us with volunteers!

What will we reject?

Wiltshire Together is not a business directory for commercial organisations, as we would then need to charge advertising rates (which we don’t). We will approve relevant activities added by non-profits.

How quickly will we approve activities?

We aim to approve activities within 2 working days. Our admins do not work Fridays, so activities posted on a Thursday may not be reviewed until Monday.
