About Us
Welcome to the SGI-UK West Wiltshire District! We are a diverse, local community of lay Buddhists practicing Nichiren Buddhism within the Soka Gakkai International (SGI).
Our Philosophy
We believe that every individual possesses an inherent Buddha nature. By chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, we unlock our wisdom, courage, and compassion to overcome life's daily challenges and create positive change in our communities.
What We Do
  • Monthly Gatherings: Heart-to-heart discussion meetings focused on mutual support and real-life encouragement.
  • Buddhist Study: Group learning sessions exploring the writings of Nichiren Daishonin and guidance from Daisaku Ikeda.
  • Peace Building: Fostering dialogue, friendship, and grassroots action across West Wiltshire.
