Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator, Dorothy House Hospice Care

I am a Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator for North Wiltshire and currently West Wiltshire.

My role is a joint one which allows me to recruit, train and maintain our volunteers and the volunteering offer within my area as well as engage with community assets to connect our patients and their families.

Currently within my area, I look after our Volunteer Companions (who visit our patients in their own home providing some level of social support) Driving Companions (volunteers who offer to drive patients to the hospice in Winsley) and our volunteers who facilitate at our Bereavement Help Point groups located in Chippenham, Corsham, Devizes, Malmesbury and now in Trowbridge.

I am very outgoing, I love to meet new people and very much enjoy my role. I am always amazed at what our wonderful volunteers can achieve and am very proud to support them in their roles as they give to others.
