Volunteers provide Good Neighbour help to the vulnerable and elderly

We are a registered charity, set up in 2014, run entirely by volunteers.  Our tasks mainly involve taking Clients to medical appointments, hairdressers, on shopping trips or to visit friends and relatives.  We also collect shopping and prescriptions.  If we receive requests for other help, such as visiting for a chat, simple gardening, or helping in the house - if we can find a volunteer, we will do it! All volunteers and trustees are DBS checked.  A team of 4 Coordinators, working on a rota basis, take requests from Clients and link to an available Volunteer.  Normal interaction is one to one, so we like to get everyone together during the year for our three Coffee Mornings, Christmas Bazaar and New Year Party.  These are always very enjoyable occasions.
