We help people with transport problems get to their medical appointments.

What is LINK?

LINK is a team of local volunteer drivers and coordinators who help the community by transporting people in need. They support and complement the local Community Health and Social Services. LINK is organised by a committee of local people who oversee the general running of the scheme.

What are the aims?

To help people with any transport problem in a personal and friendly way.

Who can use the service?

Anyone living in our area who requires transport, regardless of age or circumstances. Maybe  transport for a local Doctor or hospital appointments, or to visit sick family members, depending on driver availability.

What areas do we cover.

Chippenham, Chippenham Without, Langley Burrell, Sutton Benger, Tytherton

  • Whatever you can give! There is no set charge for our service, but we do invite clients to make a donation towards the cost of providing the Chippenham LINK Transport scheme. Cash or cheque donations can be placed in the envelope given to you by your driver. If you want to make your donation by bank transfer, ask our co-ordinator for details. A mileage allowance is paid to our volunteer drivers. We also have telephone and other administrative expenses. Chippenham LINK Transport could not continue to operate without the donations that we receive from LINK service users.
