Provide free powered wheelchairs for young disabled children

Wizzybug is a powered wheelchair specifically designed for young disabled children that is provided free of charge by the charity Designability on a loan scheme basis. It is suitable for indoor/outdoor and off-road use.

It is suitable from 14months to approx age 5 (max weight 20kg) and grows with the child.  Families can self-refer by completing the application form on the website https://designability.org.uk/assistive-solutions/wizzybug/ 

Designability are based in Bath and appointments are held either at our clinic at the Royal United Hospital in Bath or at the William Merritt Centre near Leeds.

Families on low-income can apply to our Access Fund for help with the cost of attending the appointment including overnight accommodation if necessary.
