A community of artists and makers at the heart of Bradford-onAvon

Our project is a volunteer-run community shop and creative space in Bradford on Avon that supports local artists and brings people together through art, learning, and shared purpose. The shop sells locally handmade, sustainable goods and offers a flexible space for workshops, meetings, and community events. By providing fair, low-cost retail opportunities, we help makers earn income and grow their practice. We also offer volunteering and learning opportunities that build skills, confidence, and social connection—particularly for young people, older adults, and those facing barriers to work. In response to the cost-of-living crisis, we provide affordable and accessible ways for people to engage in creative, community-based activity. The project transforms a valued town centre space into an inclusive hub where relationships are built, potential is nurtured, and environmental values are upheld.
