Stonehenge Striders was born in January 2020 by a running couple who came to the realisation that Amesbury and the rapidly expanding area, could benefit from having a formal running club. So England Athletics LIRF (Leader In Running Fitness) Certificates in hand we set about creating it!
2022 saw us gain 2 qualified CIRFs (Coach In Running Fitness) and become an England Athletics Affiliated Club. We also affiliated to Wiltshire Athletics.
So who are we?? We are Parkrunners, we are ultra-marathoners, we are every distance in between but most of all we are friendly and supportive. We want to help you achieve YOUR running goals, whatever they may be, through mutual support and encouragement.
We are heavily involved in the running events community and try to get to as many races as we can. It's not always about PBs... although they are always very welcome ... it's also about our club camaraderie, we never leave a Strider out on the race field!
Based in Amesbury, Wiltshire but welcoming runners from Durrington, Larkhill, Bulford, Tidworth, Salisbury, and beyond. Come and try us out, you won't be disappointed!
