Where and when do we meet?
Between September and July on the second and fourth Mondays of each month (apart from bank holidays). We meet in the Bell and Crown public house, 66 Deverill Road BA12 9QS.
What do we do?
We hold workshops or tips sessions and sometimes we have a speaker. We normally read out something we have written, be it fiction, non-fiction, poetry, children’s stories or play scripts. Encouragement, constructive comments and supportive criticism is always offered by other members. Reading out our work is optional. Twice a year we hold a writing competition for members and twice a year we hold social events.
Subscriptions:
We like potential new members to come along to a meeting to ‘try us out’. If they decide to join each member pays £5.00 twice a year and a further £2.00 at each meeting they attend. This is to pay for competition prizes, social gatherings, speaker expenses, presentations or other sundry expenses.
