Improving the quality of life for children suffering with life-limiting conditions, by providing the little things that mean a lot.

Wonder Wards is a children's charity with the aim of improving the quality of life for children and young people with life limiting conditions, whilst also helping their direct families financially where needed.

There are many great charities out there that raise funds for the care and medication for these children. But Wonder Wards will focus on the quality of life, outside of that vital medication and care, by providing the little things that can mean a lot.

The charity was inspired by Derry Heffer, who would buy a child’s toy every time she went grocery shopping throughout the year. Then at Easter and Christmas she would wrap the toys and pass them out to the children at a randomly selected children’s hospital or hospice.

Our goals include:

1. providing financial support to hospital/hospice wards to improve renovate wards and bedrooms, so that their own fundraising can be focused on the medication and care; to

2. granting wishes; and

3. financially supporting struggling families, whether it is car parking costs at hospitals, or during times of festivities such as birthdays and festive holidays.

Here at Wonder Wards, we believe these children and their families, should go without nothing.
