Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in jail under South Africa’s apartheid government, including 18 years in the notorious prison 'Robben Island' off the coast of Cape Town. Nelson was finally released from prison on February 11, 1990, and went on to become President of South Africa and one of the 20th Century's most influential figures.
Rev Colin Chambers was chaplain to Nelson Mandela for eight years, supporting him and other inmates at Robben Island prison. Colin will share his extraordinary stories of Nelson, providing a fascinating insight into the life of the global ambassador. Join us online for the talk, followed by a Q&A.
