We have made a start on making the entrance to Bemerton Folly at Pinewoods Way a little more inviting by planting Wildflower plants and sowing seeds. But there's still plenty to do at the entrance. We're also keen to give a bit more space to the area around the back entrance to Woodlands School by clearing some of the stinging nettles and growing there too. We realise that nettles and brambles are great for nature so we don't need to get rid of them all. We'll also have a chance to discuss ideas and shape the future of the Folly.
Rome wasn't built in a day, but many hands make light work, so if you are willing and able to help out, please get in touch.
We have submitted a grant for tools but they won't be available yet. Hopefully we'll have enough tools to do round, but if you have some, please bring them along, and bring gardening gloves too. Label them well in case there is a mix-up, and wear suitable outdoor clothing.
Our plans and work will have the support, guidance and advice from Salisbury City Council, Wiltshire Council and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.
