Volunteer -Here to Talk Befriender for lonely and/or isolated people

Here to Talk is a service we offer at Carer Support Wiltshire and Carer Support Dorset.

This service is primarily designed to support carers who are lonely and/or isolated, have no support network in place, no family or friends to rely on and do not regularly participate in face to face activities such as Carer Cafes, Carer Support Groups or any other similar local groups.

Here to Talk is a telephone befriending service where carers are matched with volunteers who provide regular telephone befriending to that carer.

The volunteer will call the carer once a fortnight for a minimum period of 6 months.
