Over 2.4 million adults in England alone can't read or struggle to. If you're based in the North & West Wiltshire area and have some time to volunteer, you could make a real difference to the lives of local adults who want to learn to read by joining the team of volunteers who run our Read Easy North & West Wiltshire group. You would be part of a group of like-minded volunteers focused on offering adults in your area the life-changing opportunity to learn to read.
Are you organised, efficient and a great team player with excellent Office 365 and SharePoint skills? We need your administrative and organisational skills to keep us on schedule, maintain records, plan ahead, provide and gather feedback from stakeholders and volunteer coaches through the year. You will be a valued member of our small friendly local Management Team supporting our smooth running so that our group functions at its best and works in the most efficient and effective way to help adults learn to read in our community.
Key skills needed include:
A strong commitment to improving the lives of the people Read Easy works with.
Good communication and people skills, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Confidence in using IT.
The ability to use initiative and work independently and as part of a team
A willingness to abide by Read Easy policies and procedures.
An open attitude that encourages two-way communication and willingness to ask for and offer support to the Team.
A non-judgemental attitude and respect for others, with a commitment to equality and diversity, so that you can make everyone feel valued and included.
Energy and enthusiasm with an average of two to five hours a week to commit to the role
