Last year's memory walk raised an incredible £10,000 for people living with dementia in Wiltshire. This year we've made it even more special - adding a beautiful new route around the Bowood Estate at the kind invitation of our patron Lady Lansdowne.
All ages are welcome! Why not get friends, family and colleagues to sign up as a team? The more walkers who take part, the more essential support we can provide to the families that need us.
Our North Wiltshire memory walk is a beautiful seven miles through the grounds of Bowood and surrounding North Wiltshire countryside. It is being held at the kind invitation of Alzheimer's Support's patron Lady Lansdowne, the High Sheriff of Wiltshire.
We'll start with a bacon or veggie butty and a fun group warm-up in the grounds of the Bowood Estate, before striding out around the lake and across open countryside towards Calne. The route circles back to the estate for refreshments and well-earned Finisher's Medal. You should also have time for a look around the main house and gardens - just show your Walk to Remember wristband for a discount on the entry price.
As well as being a great day out, the walk is a major fundraiser for our charity. There is no minimum sponsorship amount but as places are limited we ask that walkers try to raise at least £50 in sponsorship. That would pay for a session at one of our Music for the Mind dementia choirs here in Wiltshire - so you'll be part of something amazing and every penny you raise will make a difference.
