Beyond Dementia (formerly known as Alzheimer’s Support) is a local charity which exists to improve quality of life of families affected by dementia in Wiltshire.

We support people who are living with dementia in their own homes, helping them to maintain as much independence and control over their lives as possible. We believe that with the right support it is possible to live an active, creative and meaningful life with dementia.

Truly person-centred care is at the heart of our operation. Our services include highly knowledgeable dementia advisers, inspirational day clubs, a carefully customised home support service and more than 40 community-based activity groups.

These include Music for the Mind singing groups, Movement for the Mind gentle exercise groups, art groups, Muddy Boots groups for outdoor adventures and our regular memory cafes. We also offer experiential discussion groups for the newly diagnosed and monthly support groups and training courses for family carers. All of these groups - and our day clubs - rely on volunteers so please see our opportunities to get involved! 

We offer information and drop-in support from our offices in Trowbridge, Devizes and Salisbury.
