This is an interactive workshop outlining the key principles and practices of co-production, showcasing both good practice from Wiltshire and other areas.
This workshop will give insights into the key elements required to enable co production to flourish and grow.
The workshop will raise knowledge and understanding around:
• an engagement led practice,
• co design,
• collaborative commissioning,
• governance and monitoring
• and most importantly co delivery with citizens.
We will also point you to wider resources to support effective co -production.
This workshop comes at a time when health and care systems are changing and are being guided to adopt these co-production principles as a model to increase the wellbeing for all those living in Wiltshire.
This workshop is designed to enable and support community, voluntary and social enterprises, to consider adopting and implementing a co-production and co-design model within their own organsations that supports the new Integrated Health Care System in their aspiration to be a co-production County.
The co-productions training will be interactive and draw on a range of knowledge and first-hand delivery experience, which will:
• Improve your understanding and key principles of CP
• Increase your understanding of the term and culture of a co design system
• Provide an overview of how to you can potentially implement co-production in your organsation as well as understanding the flexibility of CP model
• Help you explore what co-production might look and feel like to both your organsation and individuals using your services
The co-production model can offer a more equal working partnership between an organsation and the people who uses their services.
WCA has teamed up with Torbay Community Trust, which has used co-production as their model way of working.
Led by WCA’s Operations Manager Linda-Cantillon-Guyatt and the trust’s Strategic Director Simon Sherbersky, the workshop will outline what is needed for co-production to succeed,
Mr Sherbersky said: “This comes at a time when health and care systems are changing and are being guided to adopt these principles in how we all work together to increase wellbeing for all residents in Wiltshire.”
The workshop is aimed at community, voluntary and social enterprise organisations however WCA would welcome colleagues from other sectors to join the training as the aspiration is for co-production to be embedded in all our systems as a person-centered approach to how we design and deliver services in the future.
