We are delighted to announce our new ‘Virtual Equestrian Centre’ to provide accessible and inclusive exercise for the Armed Forces Community.
Thanks to the generous support of Sport England, Tedworth Equestrian’s ‘Virtual Equestrian Centre’ initiative will use a virtual platform to tackle inequality of opportunity and participation in equestrian activity.
The Virtual Centre aims to break down barriers, improve accessibility and work toward the goal of enhancing the wellbeing of over 5,000 members of the Armed Forces Community.
This community includes the local communities around which the Armed Forces are based.
The initiative will capitalise on strength and conditioning (S&C) sessions, tailored to the demands of equestrianism, and will be accessible to everyone online.
The S&C sessions will be led by Henry Carter, an experienced coach and equestrian.
Henry recently completed his Master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning at Loughborough University, following his graduation with a Sport Sciences degree from Durham.
Henry has worked with a range of sportspeople, from elite level rugby to international athletes, and we’re delighted to have him on board!
Jamie Balls, Tedworth Equestrian's CEO, said: "I am delighted that, with the support of WASP, we have been able to secure the services of Henry Carter in the first step of our Virtual Equestrian Centre. Henry has the ability to tackle inequality of opportunity to partake in activities by utlising online platforms to reach more individuals, wherever they may be."
